UKBS Plc regularly provides a multi-disciplinary service to Local Authority Clients.  Many of these are through framework appointments such as East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC. We have experience of providing a range of individual services working as part of a professional team or providing an in-house team to cover a range of services hence giving the client a ‘one stop’ service.

Work carried out to date under the four year framework agreement with East Riding of Yorkshire Council covers,  Project Management, Structural Engineering (Buildings and Bridges), Mechanical and Electrical, Utilities, role of CDMC, Value Engineering, Civil Engineering, Highways, Sustainable development, Risk Management and Procurement.

UKBS PLC are currently working on 30 development sites for a £35M programme of affordable housing – part of a national scheme to construct 2000 new homes.  Sustainability is a key requirement and at present we are carrying out Ecological Surveys on all the sites and compiling flood risk assessments on several sites.

Hull Marina is one of the prime examples in Yorkshire and Humber of a ‘great place’.  Working with Hull Forward and Hull City Council and the local UKBS PLC office are proud to have worked on the £2M repaving scheme for Railway Street, refurbishment of the lock gates and impound pumps and the infrastructure surveys for the whole of the marina estate.

Through our successful work on many Local Authority framework contracts UKBS Plc have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects.  As part of our Quality System, outputs are continually assessed to ensure that on completion of projects the requirements of the Client have been fully met. Following completion of a project we have a 360-degree evaluation where we ask clients to evaluate our performance on the scheme.  The evaluation measures our performance against certain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as set out in the government initiative – Constructing Excellence.

Over the life of the framework scores are built up and a picture emerges showing the level at which individual firms are working, which can be compared to other firms on the framework and against nationally recognised KPIs.  We are very pleased that UKBS PLC has scored very highly in all years but we are particularly pleased the scores achieved were significantly higher than the benchmark values in the KPIs published by the government through Constructing Excellence.
